1. Dampers can generate torque force in either clockwise or counterclockwise directions. 2. Ensure that a bearing is attached to the shaft connected to the damper, as the damper does not come with its own. 3. Use the recommended dimensions provided below when creating a shaft for TRD-57A to prevent slippage. 4. When inserting a shaft into TRD-57A, spin it in the idling direction of the one-way clutch. Do not forcefully insert the shaft from the regular direction to avoid damaging the one-way clutch.

5. When using TRD-57A, please ensure that a shaft with specified angular dimensions is inserted in the damper's shaft opening. A wobbling shaft and damper shaft may not allow the lid to slow down properly when closing. Please see the diagrams to the right for the recommended shaft dimensions for a damper.1. The torque generated by a disk damper is dependent on the rotation speed, with an increase in speed resulting in an increase in torque, and a decrease in speed resulting in a decrease in torque. 2. The torque values provided in the catalog are typically measured at 20rpm rotation speed. 3. When a closing lid starts to close, the rotation speed is typically slower, which results in a smaller torque generation compared to the rated torque. 4. It is important to consider the rotation speed and its correlation with torque when using a disk damper in applications such as closing lids.1. The torque generated by the damper is influenced by the ambient temperature, with an inverse relationship between temperature and torque. As the temperature increases, the torque decreases, and as the temperature decreases, the torque increases. 2. The torque values provided in the catalog can be considered as the rated torque, which serve as a reference point for normal operating conditions. 3. The fluctuation in damper torque with temperature is primarily due to the variation in the viscosity of the silicone oil used inside the damper. Viscosity decreases with increasing temperature, leading to a reduced torque output, while viscosity increases with decreasing temperature, resulting in an increased torque output. 4. To ensure optimal performance, it is crucial to take into account the temperature characteristics illustrated in the accompanying graph when designing and using the damper.
